Founded in 1987 we have grown into an incredible team with hundreds of exhibitors and design professionals represented.

General Manager - Auckland
My journey with Home Ideas has been going since 2007, where I started out as Centre Co-Ordinator before moving into the National Marketing Manager position and then most recently as General Manager. I’m proud to be a part of such a great team and to have overseen several new initiatives over the time I’ve been here as well as the install of some incredible displays. When I’m not at Home Ideas, you’ll find me out in NZ’s wilderness whether bush or beach, travelling the world, hanging with my pets or simply getting cosy with a good book by the fire and a glass of something in hand.
Business Development Manager
I have a 15 year track record of creative collaborations and distinct focus on success meaning the best products, the best service and the best results. Working with such a unique product that is the Home iDeas has enabled me to focus on delivering stand out solutions for my clients that demand attention. Five years later I am still growing in this amazing industry and committed to helping our ethos of thinking differently every single day. Away from work I am mad about sport with great passion for motorsport, rugby league and cricket. I have always maintained a ‘life is too short’ mentality so you can imagine how much I get up to!
Being the new face in the Home Ideas team, I bring a mixture of skills to my role that I am very passionate about. With experience in Social Media, E-Commerce and Visual Merchandising, plus my PGDip in Fine Arts, I tackle my role with a creative vision and a free spirit. Originally from Nelson, I grew up around the arts and the beach, both of which feature heavily in my out of work life.
My role at Home Ideas is the Centre Co-ordinator. You are likely to find me at reception, ready to help you with navigating through the exhibits so you can get inspired! I’m also in charge of making the centre look ship-shape for you. When I’m not looking after the centre, I am curating ideas for my own home, drawing inspiration from the different exhibitors and meeting others in the home improvement industry.
Christine (Chris) Tidey
I am one of the longest standing employees at Home Ideas, and I take care of all things financial but am also ready to help out in other areas as required. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful grand-daughter or pottering around in the garden at home.
